In an old stone barn in Skrea Backe, on the west coast of Sweden, four guys with a passion for food and drink chose to create an artisan alcoholic liquor with inspiration from the local area.
The distillery is located by the restaurant Skrea Matbruk, so if you should be nearby and visit us, you can both try a nice cocktail combined with amazing pasta, all served in an environment overlooking both vineyards and acres of fields. It almost sounds too good to be true, right?
The four friends that we previously mentioned are Albert Nilsson, Filip Karlsson, Marcus Nordgren and Victor Larsson, who all met when they served drinks and cooked at Prostens Pizza and Skrea Matbruk, which Marcus owns and runs together with his wife Lisa Lemke. Together they all share a passion for food and wine, but also a dream about doing something more. The idea about developing and reforming Swedish artisan spirits started to grow and here at Skrea Backe we like to make dreams come true.
