Discover artisan foods with unique flavours and identity. Eivor ferments anything from classic sauerkraut to exciting delicacies from organic produce. The small scale food craft is celebrated and all production is done by hand on the farm.

Gavie’s Gårdar

In the middle of the rolling Hallandian landscape, between extensive fields and deep forests, is the farm Slätten that once was owned by Eivor’s grandparents. It houses horses and hens, pastures and barns, dreams, ambitions and of course the big love for nature and the passion for food craft.

Fermented vegetables

Here the thousand year old method of preserving food by fermentation is cherished and Eivor ferments anything from classic sauerkraut to exciting delicacies, by using her own recipes and organic produce from the local area. The products are sold in farm shops in the area and at food fairs, farmer’s markets and often via Reko Ring Falkenberg.

Take a course

Courses where you gain both theoretical and practical knowledge on how to ferment vegetables and your own fermentations to bring home, are also offered here. On selected dates you can also visit the kitchen to get an insight into the everyday life of a food crafter and learn the story of the craft, experience the flavours and the health effects. The visit ends with a buffet of different fermented tapas, kimchi and fermented drinks.
