Here you cross berry-rich mires and walk through forests of gnarled pines. Along the way you pass Fegen’s chapel, where a magnificent view opens out across the lake.
Along the lake’s western shore runs a lovely nature trail with clear waymarking. Boardwalks and bridges carry you on a delightful and varied walk from Solvik, by the Fegen hostel, to the swimming spot at Linjevik. Information boards along the trail tell you about Fegen and about what you can see and experience as you go. You can read about the lake’s unique fish, how the lake got its name, about wild berries and much more.
