Ugglarp Beach

Ugglarp Beach

Ugglarp has not just one, but three lovely beaches. There’s also no need to decide between sand, rocks and grass, as there is something for everyone here. About the beach The shallow sandy beaches in Ugglarp are a true summer paradise. Ugglarp’s beaches are divided into the southern, northern and western beach. All the beaches are shallow and child-friendly. Between the beaches are rocks that run into the sea and delineate the beaches from one another. The beach has plenty of space for everyone, and if you are not keen on getting sand between your toes or taking in the view from the cliffs, there are also grassy areas that make a perfect spot for your sun lounger. By the northern cliffs, there is a fisherman’s shack and a pier that make for a great crab-fishing spot. There is also a seaweed reef for people who enjoy snorkelling. Parking is available by Ugglarps Camping and just south of Sallebjäret. Dogs are welcome in a specially designated area in the southern beach.

SUP On a  SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) you are on a long and stable surfboard, paddling along. This gives you the perfect combination of watersports and outdoor experience. While you are floating down-stream in Suseå, a beautiful little creek that flows into Kattegatt, you use your paddle to guide your board. You can book your trip meandering through forest and open fields and you can count on some rapids and low-hanging trees to manoeuvre along the way. After about an hour and a half of paddling you reach the mouth of the river - a fantastic view. Fat Bike From the middle of May there are 2-2,5 hours guided tours along the Falkenberg coast and inland. We start the tour in Ugglarp and cycle on the beaches and in uneven terrain a little way inland. Read more about the guided tours on Villa Surf Garden’s homepage. Trek fat bikes are stable and easy to cycle all-terrain bikes, made for cycling in places where you usually don’t bike. Big, soft tyres make it easy to make your way through sand, on smooth rock and across boulders. On a guided tour we cycle across the beach, in the forest, on gravel roads and a little bit on paved roads. The difficulty level is adapted to the ability of the group and the activity is suitable for everyone that knows how to ride a bicycle. However, the suitable age is 12 and up and height from 150 centimetres. Combination Tours on Fat Bike and SUP From and including May you can book half-day tours (a total of 3,5-4 hours) including fat bike and SUP along the Falkenberg coastline and inland. We start cycling from Ugglarp to the Suseå creek, where we then paddle along the creek to the mouth of the river. Back on dry land, we cycle back to Ugglarp. A picnic in the sand dunes with food and drink is a bookable option. Book your experiences at Villa Surf Garden.

Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum

Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum

This museum contains one of Europe’s biggest collections of old automobiles and aircraft. The collection includes approximately 40 cars, 40 aircraft, motorcycles, engines, electrical appliances and much more. There is also a museum café where you can have a bit and relax for a bit. Cars from all ages The development of the automobile during the 20th century is a truly fascinating story, which you can delve into at the museum. In the early days of the automobile, cars were more like engine-drawn carriages and quite different to what we would consider a ‘real’ car today. In the 1930s, the rate of progression in car designs exploded, with new models rolling out each year. In the 1950s, the modern car began to take form, the inspiration for the designs being especially drawn from aircraft. The museum has a huge variety of car models on display. In the hangar Few things have fascinated mankind so much as the ability to fly. The designs for the earliest airplanes were based on birds, and they were not capable of flying much faster or higher than birds either. It wouldn’t take long, however, before aircraft began to soar to new heights and break new speed records over the course of the first half of the 20th century. The big breakthrough came with the invention of the jet engine, which is when the history of flight entered a particularly riveting chapter. In the museum’s massive hangar, you can walk amongst and below many different types of planes. Summer café At the museum, you can buy coffee and a snack and rest a while in the courtyard. The café sells cakes, pastries and sandwiches, and occasionally soups and salads. Everything is home-baked and home-made, and the café uses organic and local ingredients to the furthest extent possible. The museum is open during the summer months. You can find the exact opening hours at Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum.
Ullarp

Ullarp

Ullarp is a perfect location when you want to make a small and simple excursion out in nature. Take a short walk and a coffee break among the mighty oaks and beautiful bird songs. Welcome The car park is located right along the coastal road between Falkenberg and Halmstad. Here you will also find a picnic table. However, you should rather take your picnic basket, walk along the beautiful cow path and sit down on the fallen trees a bit further down in the reserve. This is a bright, open place beautifully framed in by large oaks. The area was once used as pasture and meadowland, and there is still a struggle to maintain the diversity of plants that otherwise would be choked out by high grass and herbs. Take a Walk There is a marked hiking path measuring just over one kilometre through the forest. You get back to the open location and then the path goes back to the car park again. Wood Anemones and Bird Songs Pay a visit to Ullarp in the spring when the ground under the giant oaks is covered by a carpet of wood anemones. Among the lively choir of small birds heard in the spring are the black cap, garden warbler and nightingale. Here bloom the butterfly orchid, bitter fetch and devil's-bit, and on the old oaks grown unusual lichens.
Ullarps Gård

Ullarps Gård

At Ullarps Gård, the hens strut about in the open and live well. The farm store open all year around offers more than just good eggs. Here you will also find vegetables, root vegetables, honey and crafts such as lamb skin and bird feeders.
