Falkenberg has great conditions for kitesurfing thanks to its shallow beaches and stable westerly winds. Kitesurfing is similar to normal surfing, except you use a kite strapped with ropes to a harness you wear. The winds then takes you and your kiteboard across the waves. It is an action-packed experience which - as you might expect - requires some practice. Tips for different spots   Olofsbo One of the few spots in Halland that are also suitable for kitesurfing when the wind is blowing from a southeasterly direction. Olofsbo is a big, open bay with a long sandy beach. The beach quickly transitions to deep water, where you find the most ‘choppy’ conditions.   Ringsegård When the other beaches in Halland are packed with beachgoers, you’ll often find that it is quieter here. The spot consists of a big open bay with a long sandy beach and shallow water. The central and northern areas are good for beginners with flat water far out. There is a chance of waves further out in the northern part of the bay, however.   Ugglarp A lovely, sheltered bay with a wide sandy beach and shallow water. There are rarely waves here, making it a good spot for beginners. Ugglarp is most suited for kitesurfing or windsurfing with short fins, as there is a sandbar that extends from the beach out to the southern island. Need to rent equipment? SuseånSUP, a unique stop along the Kattegattleden SuseånSUP is an automated SUP rental located by the river of Suseån in the Vesslunda nature reserve. Paddling in Suseån offers a unique opportunity to explore the stunning surroundings of Suseån on a SUP. The SUP rental is equipped with boards, paddles, and life jackets for your convenience. Book and pay for your board on suseånsup.se and receive a personal code to retrieve your equipment. Once your paddle is over, returning the equipment is a breeze with your unique code.

SUP (Stand Up Paddle) is a fun water sport suitable for all ages. You decide whether the experience will be a tough workout or a more relaxed session on the water. SUP helps train your coordination, agility and balance while you get a lovely time out in nature at the same time. The sea Park by one of Falkenberg’s beaches and take a trip on the shallow waters. We also recommend going paddling in the early morning or in the evening, as it is often less windy around these times. Lakes You could certainly also choose to venture out onto one of Falkenberg’s 256 lakes, where you may find it easier to find truly calm waters. Rivers Suseån is a small winding river without any major rapids, making it very suitable for a SUP trip. However, you will need to carry the board over fallen vegetation. If you want to embark on a longer trip, you could opt for the river Ätran by Vessigebro. A good place to go ashore again is by the Rowing Club’s jerry by the E6 bridge. Challenge & Adventure Hamnen - Ringsegård Park by the marine in Falkenberg and paddle along the harbour entrance, following the coast southwards along Skrea Beach, around the Näset headlands and away from Ringsegård. The trip is about 4 km long, and you can go ashore wherever and whenever you want along the way. Ringsegård - Marsten round trip This journey entails paddling in around 4-5 km of open water for the full round trip. Bring food and something to drink, as well as an accompanying boat depending on your experience level. This route is most suitable when there is a westerly wind, as you will have a more comfortable journey on the way back. When the weather is nice and the water is calm, you can see the seabed, and if you are lucky you may even get company from the local seals. The waters around Marsten are also excellent for snorkelling. Need to rent equipment? Make the most of a fabulous day at Skrea Strand by heading out on a paddleboard. You can hire boards from SUP Mannen at Ocean Hotel or Skrea Camping throughout the summer. Hire SUP at Skrea Strand SUP – stand-up paddleboarding – is the perfect activity for everyone and doesn’t require any prior experience. SUP Mannen’s boards are available to hire either direct at Skrea Strand in front of Ocean Hotel or at Skrea Camping. You can also prebook boards for kick-offs, hen and stag parties or just for a fun family activity. Opening times vary depending on the weather.
