Here you can enjoy a taste drink at the amphitheatre, or still your hunger with a fluffy and soft portion of mashed potatoes from Torggrillen. Tullbron Over Ätran towers the stout stone bridge and it stands there securely no matter the water level and whirling currents. Tullbron, built in the 1750s, if Falkenberg’s most famous construction and today is protected as a cultural heritage site. If you have a little extra time, you can stand on the bridge and look out over Ätran. It babbles, glitters and lives its own life, a performance to enjoy year round. Beautiful Views along the Doctor’s Promenade Along the Ätran winds the Doctor’s Promenade, a relaxing promenade with impressive trees that frame the path with the imposing tree crowns. Through large rhododendron bushes run small, narrow stairways and paths that take you up to the rampart’s recreation area, play area, skatepark and much more. This is where walkers, families with children dog owners and runners all intermingle. The Doctor's Promenade is two kilometres long and was established by Gustaf Adam Ehrengranath, who was the city doctor in Falkenberg in 1856-1877. Design Museum In the old city, you will find the Rian Design Museum, a beautiful brick house at the Ätran. The museum is permeated with creativity from floor to ceiling. It contains innovative design and popular forms in everything from industrial design to handicrafts. Take a guided tour of the exhibits and then sit down at the café where you can leaf through new design periodicals.
