A Beautiful Lake with Good Fishing Stock Located Only 15 Minutes by Car from Central Falkenberg.
Mossjön (also called Måssjön) in Abild is situated along road 150 between Falkenberg and Torup, about 20 kilometers from Falkenberg. The lake is part of the Ätran main drainage basin and is beautifully framed by hills and trees. The lake has several nice bays and islands. The average depth is about 4.5 meters, and the maximum depth is about 20 meters. The surface area of the lake is approximately 1.7 square kilometers.
Mossjön is rich in fish, and there are plenty of pike and perch, with fine specimens caught every year. There are also large populations of whitefish such as vendace and roach, which provide plenty of food for our predators. There is a small population of zander in the lake that we are very careful about. All zander must be unconditionally released.
It is easy to buy fishing permits and book rental boats online: https://www.ifiske.se/fiske-mossjon-falkenberg.htm
Fishing Guide in Falkenberg AB leases the entire lake and it is open for permit fishing, with permits sold through Ifiske. There are 4 boats available for rent, also through Ifiske.
There is an opportunity to join us on our guided tours in the lake.
