Don’t forget to bring your picnic basket. The children’s favourite spot This lovely area for fun and games is located only a short walk from the city centre. The huge playground is a favourite among children, and everything is open and free every day, all year round. On May 14, 2026, Gekås Ullared's new adventure park will open in Gekåsbyn. Here, exciting experiences await everyone, whether you are cautious or brave, small or large. In the heart of Gekås Village, the new adventure park spreads out with a high-altitude course, ziplines, net park and activity area. At high altitudes There are four different courses at varying heights with different levels of difficulty so that more dare to try. The lowest course is 5 meters high, the highest course is 18 meters high. It ends with a real challenge: a jump straight out! From the high-altitude course, you can move on to the area's biggest "wow!": a zipline about 170 meters long over the hill and then further over Gekåsbyn for another 250 meters. The course is the grand finale of your climb, but you can also ride the zipline as a separate activity, without having climbed first. Net park for the kids In both the high ropes course and the zipline, you are carefully secured and the helmet must be worn, but in Gekåsbyn's new net park, on the other hand, it's free play. Just climb up, crawl in and bounce around in a world of nets between small cabins on poles, climbing obstacles and winding slides. Younger children can play safely in what is probably the largest net park in the Nordic region

Along the northern coast of Falkenberg, you will find one of Northern Europe’s most important resting places for migratory birds. A lot of different bird species also seek shelter and rest in the bogs, escarpments and lakes of inland Falkenberg. Bird watching in Falkenberg Falkenberg has something interesting for bird watchers all year round. The winters are often mild with open waters, and there is only an short break between the flight of migratory birds in the spring and autumn, around midsummer. There are many lovely varied bird habitats in Falkenberg. Along the coast Long stretches of Falkenberg’s coastline consists of grazed shore meadows. The coastal area, which stretches from Morups Tånge in the south and up to Varberg Municipality in the north, is one of Northern Europe’s most important resting places for migratory birds. In Falkenberg, you can spot eider, common scoter, red-throated diver, brent goose and many other species. The area is also important for nesting species such as terns. By lake and forest There are a variety of nice bird habitats in Falkenberg’s inland areas. The osprey and black-throated diver are among several bird species that thrive in the area around Fegensjön. At Sumpafallen’s rapids, you may catch sight of kingfishers and dippers. At Högsjömossen, aside from listening to the black grouse’s call and cranes, you might also be fortunate enough to see moose up close. Exercising outdoors is a great way to get some fresh air at the same time. In Falkenberg Municipality, there are many great exercise spots. There are a total of eleven well-lit jogging tracks, each of which is unique. The jogging tracks are intended for jogging/running as well as walking. Covering an area of 2,100 m2, with eleven spectacular obstacles of varying difficulty, this awesome and challenging obstacle course is located just outside of Falkenberg city centre. Welcome to a fully-equipped obstacle course that is continuously updated with new, fun and challenging obstacles. The obstacle course is connected to Gjuteriet CrossFit and also offers Atlas stones, a large outdoor rig and a short “jogging loop”. This means you can combine the obstacle course with more training and more experiences. You also have access to showers and changing rooms here. This is an activity that is suitable for young and old, friends and family, stag and hen do’s, big groups and small groups, and playful and competitive types alike. About the game Paintball entails two teams facing off against one another. The aim of the game is to eliminate the opposing team. The paintballs you shoot with are made from gelatin, and they most often break upon impact, leaving a colourful mark. Naturally, you are provided with protective gear, and if you use it correctly and follow the rules, there is no real danger involved. The paintball course is located in a perfect forest setting about 7 km from Falkenberg. Paintball is suitable for any type of group Business - Kick-off or just some after-work activity? Bachelor/Bachelorette party - The “lucky one” gets a coloured overall rather than a camouflaged one. Challenge your family, friends or colleagues to a fast but not-so-furious go-kart race. There is now a brand-new go-kart track at Falkenberg Motor Race Track, which is one of the biggest of its kind on Sweden’s west coast. Driving go-karts is a fun challenge for people of all ages. Falkenberg Motor Race Track has built a go-kart track that is 550 metres long and 8 metres wide, making it one of the biggest tracks in the area between Gothenburg and Malmö. The track has 18 go-karts with all the equipment that you need to join a race. There is also a double go-kart which allows disabled persons to join in on the fun. You have to be at least 150 cm tall to drive. A helmet and overall is included in the price. Naturally, the course has electronic time-keeping system that can print out your lap times, and you receive your results once you are done. If you do not wish to book in advance, there are drop-in periods several days a week over the summer months. Please book in advance if you are a group. The track is perfect for corporate events. Here is where you find pick-your-own places for picking flowers, vegetables and berries in Falkenberg. Gunnarstorp’s Gardens Welcome to this abundant garden, open to pick-your-own visits. The abundance and variety of dahlias, from July to the first ground frost, are impressive. Here you also find well-known flowers like among others sweet peas, peonies and montbretia. Bring your own picnic basket and sit down in the orangery or outside in the garden. Munkagård Estate Outside the village of Morup are long lines of a variety of strawberries. During the season the pick-your-own is open when there are berries to pick. Have a look at the homepage where the availability is advertised. You can also buy cordial, jams, rusks and more. Långås Bär A place to pick strawberries during the season. Check the website for availability of berries. Stora Berg’s Pick-your-own . In the rolling fields between Falkenberg and Halmstad long rows of strawberries and raspberries are grown. Here you are welcome to come and pick the lovely berries yourself. The beautiful views come free. Here is also a café open in summertime where you can have a gorgeous berry buffet. Ätradalen’s farmshop and plantations The farm is beautifully situated along the river Ätran just outside Vessigebro. This is a small-scale flower farm where you can cut your own. The goal is to be able to offer locally produced cut flowers from midsummer to late autumn. There is also a small field of outdoor grown autumn raspberries and a farm shop where you can buy the honey from the farm’s beehives. Blom’s Farm A working farm where everything is grown in harmony with nature. Seasonal vegetables, cut flowers and plants for sale. Here you find cut flowers; annuals and perennials, on masse. Runevad’s Garden Welcome into our garden. The garden holds a big pond with a little man-made waterfall. In the pond there are hundreds of goldfish. If you would like to visit the garden for a moment of green pleasure and some inspiration you pay an entrance fee which includes coffee and cake in a cosy place. The “fika” is served in our large orangery. In the garden is also a pick-your-own flower plantation. Eftra Garden This is a small scale flower plantation with seasonal flowers for cutting: Tulips in spring, followed by anemones and crowfoot. Then follows summer flowers and the dahlias that blooms until the first frost. Lilla Hälsoträdgården (The Little Health Garden) In these gardens flowers are grown in the spirit of “slow flowers”: Small scale, environmentally friendly, locally produced and artisanal - Every seed, bulb, tuber or plant is handled by tender hands and warm hearts. No flowers are the same, and every bouquet is naturally unique. Here are sometimes “Dusk flowers” on offer: Cut-your-own in the flowerbeds in the evening when the sunset paints the sky and the garden. Only on advertised dates, preregestration only. Everything here is grown in harmony with nature, completely without artificial fertilisers and chemical pesticides. You can buy the produce in the self-service farm shop that is open for business 24 hours per day or venture out into the fields to pick your own. Hule Trädgård & Musteri (Hule Garden and Apple Juice Factory) In the spring, summer and autumn the cosy shop in the greenhouse is filled with seasonal flowers, plants and paraphernalia for garden, decking and conservatory. During July and August, pick-your-own tomatoes are on offer. You can also cut-your-own flowers outside the greenhouse. In September the apple press is opened and there is the opportunity to hand in and get your own garden apples juiced. Ugglarps Grönt The farm shop by the sea in Ugglarp is well known far beyond the municipality for its vegetables, expertise, and innovative approach.Starting in the summer of 2025, it will also be possible to pick your own flowers. Morup's seaweed Among horses, cows and an almost 200-year-old lighthouse, you have a front row seat to nature at its best. The Ätraforsdammen pond Bathing area between Falkenberg and Ullared that keeps the whole family happy, all day long. Barbecue areas, beach volleyball net, swings and bathing jetty. Pack your basket full because you can spend many hours here. Grimsholmen Nature Reserve Here you can choose between beach meadows, cliffs or pine forest. Cows and sheep keep the grass from overgrowing and make this a great place for picnics. There is seating by the parking lot but look for a hill for the best view of the sea. Bengtesgårds meadow Open spaces with deciduous forest all around. In spring, the ground is transformed into a sea of white flowers and the forest invites you to explore. The course is located just 10 minutes from the sea and 15 minutes from Ullared. Stay the night If you travelling through or just very keen on getting in a good round of golf, you can stay the night at the golf course. Head to beautiful Vinberg for a round of disc golf in an open yet undulating landscape with fantastic views. Vinbergs Discgolf is the perfect complement to the similar facility in Falkenberg (Falkenbergs Discgolf). Disc golf (frisbee) is a sport that can be played by young and old alike. It has many parallels with traditional golf but, instead of playing with a ball and clubs, disc golf involves throwing discs (frisbees), which are available in many different types, plastics and weights. On each green, you have to get the disc into a metal basket, which replaces the hole in traditional golf. The aim of the game is to complete all the “holes” on the course in as few throws as possible. The player with the lowest number of throws at the end is the winner. Play when you like Vinberg disc golf is next to Vinberg golf club. Follow the signs to the car park, where you’ll find an information board. The course is open 24 hours a day and is a “pay and play” course – pay using your mobile device. Good to know The course currently has 14 playable holes, but new ones are being added on an ongoing basis, so in time there will be a full-scale 18-hole course. At Klitterbadet, you can find Sweden’s only 50-metre saltwater pool. It’s a place for fun and exercise swimming. You can also exercise here, join water aerobics classes or book a beauty treatment. Fun for kids There are several pools to choose from at Klitterbadet. The children’s pool offers unlimited fun for the little ones. There are two small slides and lots of toys in the pool. Feel free to bring water toys into the pool’s play area. There is also a climbing wall, ropes to climb and volleyball nets. In the deep end, you can go diving and leap into the water from the pallets. For the little ones, there is a 65 sq. m. water playground packed with fun attractions such as a slide, bubble zones, figures that spray water and a cave. The water is also slightly warmer at the playground. Swimming for exercise In the big pool, there are several 50m lanes for exercise swimmers. There are good opportunities for a wonderfully relaxing time here. Enjoy the Friday evenings when the pool is only lit up by the lamps in the water and candles are placed around it. Book a time for the hot tub or sit for a while in the aroma sauna. There is also an activity pool which is maintained at a warm 34 degrees Celsius. It is primarily used for water activities such as water gymnastics and baby swim classes. It is open to all visitors whenever it is not booked. More activities There is more to do than simply swimming at Klitterbadet. You can exercise in the fitness centre, which has a gym and spinning equipment. You can sunbathe, book a sauna session or perhaps a massage or coffee peeling treatment. You can also join a variety of water gymnastics classes.

Take up the challenge At Vallarna Parkour Park, children and adults can practice their body control. Parkour is similar to obstacle courses like those used in military settings, but in parkour, there’s no need to go through the obstacles in any particular order. You simply move from a to b while trying not to be hindered by the obstacles in your way. There are no rules in parkour. The challenge entails finding your own way to get over, under or around something. At the skate park in Vallarna, you can practice skating and tricks with your skateboard or kickbike. It is a fun and active hangout spot for everyone who loves skateboarding.   Awesome courses for young and old The skate park consists of over 1000 square metres of concrete and steel structures. It’s a place where you can really try out your skills. The park is always open and has free admission. It is lit up at night for those who enjoy skateboarding after sundown. There are occasionally staff on site during the summer months. Everyone is welcome at the skate park; professionals and beginners, young and old, boys and girls. Everyone skates together here. Safety rules: Visiting the skate park is at your own risk You should always wear a helmet and protective equipment Be mindful of inexperienced skaters and allow them to skate alongside more experienced skaters Always yield to the person in front of you Keep an adequate safe distance to other skaters and make sure your skateboard does not roll away and hurt someone Any spectators or resting skateboarders must stay away from the ramps and obstacles Keep things tidy and throw away all your rubbish in a bin Graffiti and other forms of painting is strictly prohibited Kickbikes are allowed in the skate park until 15:00 every day between weeks 25 - 32. From week 33 - 24, both skateboards and kickbikes are allowed in the park at the same time without a time limitation. Guardians are responsible for the safety of minors using the park
