Lavish weddings are not for everyone. Some prefer simple ceremonies, a wedding with just the closest ones. In Falkenberg, we have truly magical places for those who want to promise each other eternal fidelity in beautiful nature or a magnificent setting. So here you go, here is a list of beautiful places to get married in.
Well, there are mostly sandy beaches around here, and we are very proud of them. But there are also beautiful islets and skerries that pass into sand, reeds and wonderful sea views. It is especially beautiful when the sun sets.
The first warm sunbeams of spring have just broken free and you lie on a picnic blanket in a sea of wood anemone. There is “fika”, as well as the largest coffee cup on Earth. The great oaks greet you in the wind and somewhere the night owl is sleeping, in preparation for a night’s work.
Purling water and its silver songs. Leafy trees where the rays of the sun find their way through. An idyllic place where Swedish nature shows off its most beautiful face.
There is more than 13 km of beach in Falkenberg, so there is lots of sand for your buck. To be wedd on a beach is a classic that is hard to beat. Why not choose one of the lesser known? An intimate and beautifully situated beach, surrounded by grazed beach meadows.
A light summer’s rain falls over the Frode Park. In shelter of the beech wood’s mighty bowers you feel the scent of the forest, when it comes to life with the gentle touch of the rain. Have a seat on a fallen log and in the company of the tinder conks you can gobble up that cheese sandwich that has been on your mind since you made it this morning.
One of Falkenberg’s best known landmarks is at the same time dramatic, safe, beautiful and stable. A little bit like a marriage. The bridge in the background gives your wedding pictures an extra tinge, not to mention the rushing river Ätran with jumping salmon.
The possibilities are many by Morups Tånge: The beautiful lighthouse, the vast beach meadows by the sea, the ocean winds and the sun.

When you plan to get married in a nature reserve, do not forget to check any rules that apply depending on the size of your event. For example, this is what it says on Länsstyrelsens website regarding organizing weddings in a nature reserve:
‘As with all other types of activities, it is the regulations of the reserve that govern. There are rarely regulations that specifically regulate parties or the like, but sometimes there is one that says something along the lines of “without the permission of Länsstyrelsen, it is forbidden to organize competitions or other activities that may cause ground wear or disturb wildlife.”
Unfortunately, we have examples where people have brought loudspeakers and the like to events and where there have been very many guests, which has been perceived as disturbing by other visitors. It is always best to check with the reserve managers, so we can guide further if we assess that one needs to apply for a permit for the event.
