Skrea Strand

Sun-kissed cheeks, salt in the hair, and a vacation-soft mind. The sun slowly sinks over Bacchus, and small curly waves ripple around your shins. Skrea beach – a meeting point, a lifestyle, and a battery charger.

Bengtesgårds äng

The first warm sunbeams of spring have just broken free, and you are lying on a picnic blanket in a sea of wood anemones. The picnic is ready, as is the world’s biggest coffee cup. The large oaks greet you in the wind, and somewhere the night owl sleeps, waiting for its night’s work.

Ljungsjön

Ljungsjön – always relevant. In the days of youth, it reeked of tents, grills, and night swims. In older days, it rather smells of hiking, coffee, and mushrooms. Take a walk around the lake and let the gentle lapping of the lake inspire reflective conversations, unless the Canada goose is singing too loudly, that is.

Olofsbo strand

White sand, soft as your mother’s caress. Playful little waves curling up the shoreline. A warm wind that humbly smells of sea and seaweed. Take your place in the dunes among the sand reeds and the warmth of the sun, here in Falkenberg’s Caribbean.

Frodeparken

A light summer rain falls over Frode park. Sheltered by the mighty leaf canopy of the beech forest, you smell the forest awakening to life from the gentle touch of the rain. Sit down on a fallen tree and in the company of the ticks, you can munch on that cheese sandwich you haven’t been able to stop thinking about since you spread it this morning.

Fyren vid Morups Tånge

Large and majestic, with the sea as its nearest comrade, it stands there – the lighthouse. Through tides, ice storms, and sunshine. It feels like it wants to tell something, but the lighthouse seems to be quite the silent type, to say the least. You can always wait and listen while the rabbits run across the thrift-covered meadows.

Ätran

The fog lies like dancing fairies over Ätran’s flowing waters. Somewhere Ätran starts, small and unassuming, but just before it flows into the vast sea, it is wide and roaring. A resting place for many and a playground for the salmon – and the fish trying to catch it.

Ugglarps strand

The breakers hit the shoreline and the round rocks. With your feet in the sand and a gentle breeze sweeping through your bangs, you watch the sun set over the stone pier. The lilacs call – time for an evening dip.

Skomakarhamnen

Crabs lurk under the stones of the old grand stone pier. The seaweed sways in the undulating movements of the sea. Out in the water lies that rock, looking like a bed against the horizon. For a moment, you consider swimming there, but you quickly decide to instead lie sheltered, in the sun-warmed sand.

Grimsholmens naturreservat

Roaring sea, chirping birds, warm rocks, compliant sand, and sociable cows. All gathered in the same place. With finely carved benches placed in several spots where one can sit, breathe, and just contemplate this miracle.
