Hermans Restaurang & Nöje

Hermans Restaurang & Nöje

Hermans Restaurang & Nöje is located right in the heart of Falkenberg by Rådhustorget. The restaurant serves delicious dishes made from local ingredients and always has something fun going on. Hermans has an ambition to let ingredients lovingly cultivated here in Falkenberg do most of the ‘talking’ in their dishes. The menu is heavily composed of flavours from Falkenberg. The restaurant serves everything from homemade hamburgers made from ground beef sourced from a local farm (Mostorps gård) to tasty liver from Thuressons Gårdsbutik. The vegetables are also sourced locally from Ugglarps Grönt, the ice cream from SIA-glass and various delicacies from Korshags. The list goes on. The great food is complemented by the high standard of service and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Enjoyment is also an important part of any Hermans dining experience. The restaurant often organises entertainment such as quizzes, live bands, a night club and stand up comedy nights.
Rådhustorget No:1A

Rådhustorget No:1A

Rådhustorget No:1A is something quite unusual: A big gastrobar in a small area. At Rådhustorget No:1A, the borders between dining area and kitchen are blurred as everything revolves around the bar. A gastrobar is a restaurant that combines pub culture with a dynamic and rather classy range of dishes and drinks. The word is a fusion of gastronomy and bar. Welcome to a dynamic and casual environment where you can slip into costume, straight from work or just as you are. Book a table in advance or just drop-in. If all the tables are occupied when you arrive, we recommend waiting at the bar with a good glass of bubbly, a cold beer or a full-bodied red wine. While sipping away, you can also let yourself be inspired by the wonderful dishes the chefs put together right in front of you.

In the summer, you can sit out on the large outdoor patio, where talented musicians are often performing on stage.

What´s more romantic than chocolate?

Apart from possibly roses and bubbles, it's... No, by the way, there's actually nothing that beats the romance of chocolate. Botanize among artisanal pralines, buy licorice or enjoy an espresso.

Borgmästargården

Borgmästargården

Grab a coffee and sandwich on the go or take a seat and enjoy an open sandwich on Danish rye bread, warm sourdough sandwiches or the salad of the day. The café also sells plenty of tasty treats and classic wheat bread. What used to be the old mayor’s residence is now a café and pastry shop where you can have your breakfast, lunch and coffee break. The café combines tradition with innovation. Borgmästargården’s philosophy is to conserve everything and reduce food waste to an absolute minimum, which is why the establishment has a fluid menu. What the café sells varies from day to day, depending on the season and availability of ingredients. No matter what they are dishing up on a given day, you can be certain that they have put a great deal of thought and care into it. The café is a lovely meeting place, decorated with quality materials, furniture and porcelain by famous designers. There is an outdoor seating area facing Storgatan and in the sunny courtyard.

The programme also contains information about presentations and workshops organised by the museum. Throughout the year, city walks on various themes are offered. There is plenty for children to explore and do in Ria the Rat’s play corner. The museum also organises fun activities for children on public holidays. The museum’s calendar and opening hours can be found on this website. New design in a historical building The museum is located downstream of Tullbron (the Toll Bridge) by the river Ätran. The half-timbered building was built in 1865 and is closely tied to the area’s once-substantial grain export industry. Experience the charming interior, which is influenced by the building’s original function as a granary. The supporting wooden pillars and whitewashed brick walls still leave little doubt as to its proud history. The grain was dried in the tall, pointed storage tower, the tip of which still swivels when the wind blows.
