Getting to Falkenberg
Getting to Falkenberg is simple. Below is some practical information about different ways to get here.
Train
The Öresund trains stop at Falkenberg Railway Station on their north-south route. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour from Gothenburg and 2 hours from Malmö. Bus 1 goes between the railway station to the city centre. It is free to ride the bus if you have a train ticket. The same applies when travelling from the city centre to the railway station.They depart, from the main bus station on Holgersgatan, roughly 10 minutes before the train departs.
Buses
The main bus station in Falkenberg (Falkenbergs Bussterminal) is located in the city centre, on Holgersgatan. A number of buses depart from here with routes going through the city as well as rural areas. At the terminal, Hallandstrafiken has an office where you can buy bus and train tickets.
Arriving by car
The European route E6 passes by Falkenberg, and there are multiple exits you can choose from. If you are coming from the direction of Ullared, simply follow road 154 to get to Falkenberg city centre.
Parking
In most street parking lots and on Stortorget, you park with a parking disc. Parking disss are sold in several shops in the center or free of charge at Falkenberg’s Tourist Information.
Parking disc is applied on non-holiday weekdays between 9am and 6pm. Saturdays and days before public holidays between 9-15. Free parking applies to Sundays and public holidays.
Some car parks in Falkenberg are charged. Parking lots that are subject to a fee and cost SEK 10/hour during non-holiday weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm and Saturdays and the day before Red Day between 9 am and 3 pm.

Airplane
There is no airport in Falkenberg. The nearest airport is Halmstad City Airport which mainly has routes to and from Stockholm. The nearest major airport is Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
Arriving by your own boat
If you plan to travel to Falkenberg by boat, you can choose between three guest harbours. The one closest to the city centre is Falkenbergs Gästhamn. From there, it is only a short walk to the city centre, Skrea Beach and Vallarna. Just outside of town is the charming Lövsavikens Gästhamn, which is enclosed by red boathouses. The guest harbour is within walking distance of the pier and Stafsinge beach. 10 km north of Falkenberg lies the picturesque old fishing village of Glommen, which naturally has its own guest harbour, Glommen Gästhamn.
